Project completion | Byerlee Design Studio
Housed within the original framework of a modest warehouse, the new Byerlee Design Studio strikes a balance between robust materiality and refined detail. Drawing from elements of Brutalist architecture, deep tonal materials are layered with natural textures and softened by an abundance of diffused light.
On the lower level, a rich, grounded palette defines the kitchen, lounge, and private car space, complemented by tactile finishes, ambient lighting, and soft greenery. A steel-framed staircase ascends to the mezzanine above, where a series of skylights have been seamlessly integrated into the exposed ceiling, bathing the open-plan workspace and boardroom in natural light.
Every detail has been carefully considered to support and elevate the creative process. There’s a rhythm to how the space reveals itself, quiet, confident, and full of moments that encourage focus, connection, and inspiration.
